/kill

The /kill command is one of the simplest commands out there, if not hands down the simplest. I first got into commands when I typed in /kill @e into the chat and found, to my delight, that everything died. I wasn't the nicest person back then.
But now, a couple years later, I'm approaching the second Beta test of my fully functional command-based bedrock version adaption of Hypixel's smash-hit minigame "Murder Mystery." And I kid you not; it works! I even found out how to make the Murderer throw his/her sword.

But enough of that. You didn't come here to hear me brag. Let's get into...

The Command
If you want to kill yourself, all you have to do is type /kill into the chat and you'll be, well, killed.
As for the slightly more complicated aspects of the command, you can kill a specific player by typing in "/kill" and then the desired target's username. If you want to kill everyone, then type "/kill @e," (the comma is added for proper grammatical purposes; not as part of the command) and if you want to kill everything, then type in "/kill @e."
If you'd like to target a specific mob (for this example we'll use a zombie), then type in /kill @e[type=zombie]. This will kill all zombies. But what if you don't want to kill all the zombies, only a specific one that you've named "Jeff." No problem! Just type in "/kill @e[name=Jeff]." Just be careful; this will kill everything with that name.

Not Working?
If this command is not working, check to make sure that you've typed in everything properly, and make sure you're opped so that you have permission to use the command. Commands do not work in Survival worlds unless Cheats are on, in which case you can no longer earn achievements in that world. And check to see if you or whoever you're trying to kill is in Creative Mode; as you cannot die in Creative mode!
Please also note that this page is intended for Bedrock Minecraft, and these commands may not work in Java Edition, PS4 Edition, or Xbox 360 Edition.
