Got lost on your Creative Mode world and can't find your way back to that awesome project you put so much effort into? Don't panic! There's a quick and easy solution that will solve all your problems!
If you built your project near your spawn point, simply switch your gamemode to Survival Mode and kill yourself! If everything goes as planned, you should respawn next to your creation, and you can switch back to Creative Mode and do as you please!

Time for another Creative Mode tip!
Like playing with your friends but sick of them trolling you by blowing up your creations? There's a way to stop this, and it doesn't require getting new friends!
Simply make sure that cheats are enabled and type "/gamerule tntexplodes false" into the chat! This will disable TNT's ability to explode, and you will no longer have to build your castle out of bedrock to prevent it from being blown up!

Ever wanted to build above the build limit? There's a simple Minecraft life hack that will allow you to do so. Simply plant sugar cane just below the build limit and either wait for it to grow or use bonemeal. When it grows, it will break the height barrier, and you can build as high as you want!
EDIT: The owner of this blog has tried this technique with no success and thus declared it outdated. If you would like to try this for yourself, use an older version of Minecraft.

Be nice to the wolves! As most Minecrafters know, wild wolves will attack you if you attack another wild wolf close by.
However, what most Minecrafters don't know is that your tamed wolf might go hostile you if you attack a wild wolf in the area. I learned this the hard way, and I was forced to kill my wolf. It still saddens me to this day.

Be wary even in your well-lit mine, as slimes can spawn even in well-lit areas, just so long as it's underground or in a swamp.

In the version of Minecraft formerly known as Pocket Edition, eyes of ender did not exist, and strongholds were always located under wells in villages. If you would like to find a stronghold but don't want to go to all the trouble of using eyes of ender, start diggin' down (not straight down, mind you) at the bottom of your local village well, or use the Stronghold Village seed in the Seeds Library and dig down under the well located in the village that you will spawn nearby.

Polar bears are rarely aggressive, however, an adult ploar bear with its child will attack to protect its cub if you get too close.

Stranded in the wilderness at dusk, lost and nowhere near home, with not enough time to build a shelter or a bed before night falls and the monsters emerge? Never fear!
If you have a lot of blocks to build with, start jumping up and placing a block below you until you run out of blocks. If all goes as planned, you should be out of reach for most monsters, and you will be so high up that skeletons and spiders won't see you. Once you're at the top, sneak and go do something else for a few minutes while the night passes by. Watch out though... if you're reading this after the Update Aquatic, you just might be attacked by some insomnia-attracted flying monsters... hey, pal, you voted for it!

When traveling to the End in Survival Mode, always bring a pumpkin and a bucket of water. If you wear your pumpkin on your head, endermen will not attack you if you look them in the eye as they usually do. If, however, you need to take your pumpkin off for whatever reason, build a base out of end stone or obsidian (the Ender Dragon cannot destroy either one) and put water inside to protect yourself from Endermen. Be warned, if you use water but don't build a base around it, the Ender Dragon can dive-bomb you and knock you off the edge of the End.

11/19/17
Endermen cannot teleport if you hit their legs, so when fighting an enderman, back yourself up against a wall (as a precaution so that they can't teleport behind you if the attack fails) and attack their legs.

Husks and Strays are two variants of zombies and skeletons respectively. Husks spawn only in deserts and don't burn in daylight, Strays spawn only in snowy biomes and do burn in daylight. When hit by a Husk, the player will not only take damage, but will receive hunger as well. Strays shoot arrows of slowness. Watch out for both of these mobs, as they are far more dangerous than their zombie and skeleton counterparts, and especially watch out for the baby husk. [Shudder]

11/17/17
Don't hit a creeper with a splash potion, as any creeper that is inflicted with a status effect will affect any nearby mobs or players within its blast radius with that status effect.
For example: A player throws a splash potion of weakness at a creeper, however, the creeper attacks the player and explodes, damaging the player and affecting him with weakness.

11/16/17
Eating raw chicken has a 20% chance of giving you hunger, so make sure to cook your chicken before eating it.

11/15/17
Cobblestone is immune to ghast fireballs, so when first entering the Nether, use cobblestone to create a base around your nether portal.
You can also use cobblestone to create safehouses throughout the Nether.

11/14/17
Feeding an animal prevents it from despawning, and if you feed a baby animal, there is a chance it will turn into an adult on the spot.

11/13/17
Sick of your creations burning down in creative mode just because you wanted to add a nice fireplace?
Well, fear not! For there is a command you can use to prevent fire from spreading. All you have to do is make sure cheats are turned on and type "/gamerule dofiretick false" into the chat (without the quotation marks).
Another way to do this is to go to world settings, make sure cheats are turned on, and turn off the switch that is labeled "fire spreads."

"He needs some milk!"
When drunk, milk clears all status effects in Minecraft, which makes it extremely handy when fighting witches, who throw splash potions, cave spiders, whose bite inflicts poison, and even other players, who can inflict status effects with splash potions and enchanted swords.
However, DO NOT drink milk if you are using a helpful status effect such as strength, as it will get rid of that as well.
The notable exception to this rule is if the benefit outweighs the cost, for example, drinking milk when you are affected by poison and night vision.

Most Minecrafters will tell you that when dealing with a witch, it is best to use a bow and arrows. I, however, disagree. You see, a witch drinks a potion of healing whenever it is damaged. By the time you've aimed your next bow shot at the witch, the witch has already regained her health.
So what should you do instead of using a bow and arrows? I would recommend firing a bow shot at the witch only once, and then dashing in with a sword while she's still drinking a potion of healing. She won't be able to retaliate when drinking a potion of healing, so as long as you keep up a continuous barrage of hits, you'll be able to defeat the witch without even taking any damage.

When dealing with a dungeon in survival mode, don't rush straight in. Instead, block off the entrance if necessary, and tunnel around the dungeon and break a single block in the wall.

Now, if the dungeon is a skeleton dungeon, make sure you destroy the block just above the floor so that the skeletons can't shoot you. If it's a zombie dungeon, destroy the block closest to the ceiling so that baby zombies can't walk through your hole. If it's a spider dungeon, it doesn't matter, just so long as you destroy only a single block so that the spiders can't get through.

After you've broken the block, pour lava in the dungeon, which should both disable the spawner and kill any existing monsters in the dungeon. Once you've done that, you can carefully enter the dungeon, destroy the spawner, remove the lava, and walk away with your loot.

11/9/17
When building your shelter for the first night on survival mode with the difficulty set to hard, use a fence gate instead of a door. Zombies can break through wooden doors when the difficulty is set to hard. Though they cannot break through iron doors, iron doors require a lot of iron to craft, and until you get enough iron to make one, I would recommend using a fence gate, which is easy to craft and 100% zombie-proof.
