/time

The Command
There's nothing complicated about this command. All one has to do is enter the command "/time set" into chat, followed by one of several possible times of day, including sunrise, day, noon, sunset, night, and midnight.
/time set day
Due to its common use, Minecraft actually has a user interface in chat that allows you to change this quickly and without hassle. This can be found by clicking the forward slash button next to the text bubble.

Not Working?
If this command is not working, check to make sure that you've typed in everything properly, and make sure you're opped so that you have permission to use the command. Commands do not work in Survival worlds unless Cheats are on, in which case you can no longer earn achievements in that world.
Please also note that this page is intended for Bedrock Minecraft, and these commands may not work in Java Edition, PS4 Edition, or Xbox 360 Edition.
